The Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation, living near Black Hills Health Retreat, faces extreme poverty, limited healthcare, and spiritual neglect. Many suffer from chronic illnesses, and the gospel has only been shared in a limited way due to cultural and systemic challenges.
- Lowest per capita income in the U.S. ($8,768 per year).
- Average male life expectancy: 47 years. Women: 55 years.
- Limited exposure to the gospel due to cultural, political, and religious barriers.
From the Black Hills Health Retreat, we seek to reach this community with:
- Health Seminars & Wellness Sessions – Teaching natural remedies their ancestors once practiced.
- Massage Therapy Training – Providing skills for financial stability.
- Bible Studies & Sabbath Schools – Bringing hope through God’s promises.
- Community Outreach Events – Serving their practical needs and sharing faith in action.
